The O2 benefits your customers should know about

One sure way to get more activations, improve your activation rate, and earn as much money as you can as a Star Trader is to make sure your customers know about the many O2 benefits they can get when they top up one of your sims. It’s a competitive market, but we’ve done our bit to make your life as a trader much easier by offering a range of O2 perks in all shapes and sizes to get your customers on board.

Affordable mobile tariffs

We’re all about giving our customers the best experience. This starts with our range of affordable tariffs. There’s something for everyone, from the data-obsessed, to the modest mobile users. We have a range of tariffs, which start from just £5 a month, giving your customers access to only the very best deals – just one of the many benefits of being an O2 customer. 

At Star Trader, we have two types of bundles, each with a range of tariffs to meet your customers’ needs.

Big Bundles

Unlimited minutes and texts, with plenty of data. There’s also an option for your customers who don’t want or need huge chunks of data, giving them the option to go for a cheaper tariff that has everything they need. 

International Big Bundles

Two contract-free tariffs, so your customers can make international calls and texts at no extra cost. There’s a £10 option that includes calls to 29 European countries. Then there’s the £20 premium tariff, which has inclusive minutes to 48 destinations, including Canada, China, Mexico, and more. Both tariffs come with discounted rates for minutes and texts to a list of other countries, too.  

Priority

A collection of exclusive perks and experiences available for your customers, just for being on O2. There are a range of Priority perks available, which your customers will have instant access to in just a few taps when using the free Priority app. Grab a weekly coffee on us. Eat out with a discount. Get first dibs on gig tickets. 

Over the years, we’ve had many different Priority perks available. Here are some examples of the types of rewards your customers can get simply by being on O2:

  • Exclusive offers: Weekly treats and discounts on food, drinks and shopping.
  • Prize draws: Free-to-enter draws with some unbeatable prizes up for grabs.  
  • Priority Tickets: Get tickets to the biggest acts at 48-hours before general sale.

We’ll even give your customers special treatment when they visit one of our O2 venues. Perks vary depending on the venue, from fast-track entry to exclusive O2 customer-only bars. No more queuing in the rain. No more waiting in line for drinks. To find out more about Priority perks, click here.

O2 Wifi

Let your customers know they don’t need to use their data – they can use ours. There are over 16,000 O2 Wifi hotspots across the UK, providing a connection that’s up to 10 times faster than a normal mobile connection. 

One of the best benefits of O2 Wifi is that your customers will only need to register once; every time after that, their device will connect automatically, giving them the chance to stream, upload or browse online for free. 

Data rollover

Looking for O2 benefits to please your data-obsessed customers? Well, here’s a big one. With data rollover, your customers will be able to roll any unused data over to the next month – free of charge. No more wasted data.

This is a great perk to let your customers know about if they’re stuck on which tariff to choose. If they’re hesitant to opt for a tariff with a high amount of data because they don’t think they’ll use all of it, they’ll be glad to hear about data rollover. It’s one of the best O2 flexible benefits on offer.

Of course, there are a few rules you’ll need to know about:

  • To benefit from data rollover, your customers will need to make sure they top up every month.
  • Your customer must have enough credit available for the automatic renewal for their data to rollover to the next month.
  • The amount of data is capped at double your customers’ data allowance. This means your customers can’t carry over any extra data they’ve bought.
  • Any data that can’t be carried over to the next month will expire unless used by your customer.
  • Rollover data is only valid for 30 days. After this time, it will expire and won’t be able to be carried over again.

Free £10 credit for new customers

As a thank you from us, we’ll reward your customers with free £10 credit when they become an O2 customer on Pay As You Go for the first time. It’s a great way to introduce your customers to the many benefits of O2. 

How does the free £10 credit offer work?

  • To qualify, your customers will need to order an O2 sim here: https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/sim-cards/pay-as-you-go
  • When they receive their sim, they’ll need to activate it by topping it up with £10 or more
  • Then, they’ll need to text ‘FREE10’ to 21500 within 28 days of ordering the sim
  • The text must be sent from the sim and original mobile number identified on your customers’ sim pack

How can you offer this O2 benefit to your customers and still make money as a Star Trader?

Easy. You can direct your customers to the order page by using an affiliate link or banner that we can create for you. Your affiliate link or banner will include a unique hyperlink that’s attached to your trader ID, so we can track how many sim activations you’ve earned from it.

Keep the same number, from any network

We make it easy for your customers to keep their mobile number, even if they’re switching from another network. It’s another one of the O2 flexible benefits we have available to put your customers’ minds at ease. 

Here’s how it works:

Keeping a mobile number from another network

If your customer is switching from another network, we’ll need you to ask them to provide us with their PAC code. They can either do this by filling in our online form, calling us for free on 202 from their O2 phone, calling us on 0344 809 0202 from any other phone, or visiting an O2 shop. 

PAC codes are made up of nine digits (three letters and six numbers) and can be provided by your customer’s current provider. Once given to your customer, the PAC code will only be valid for 30 days, so it’s important that you tell them to send it over to us as soon as they have it. If the code does expire, your customer can request a new one one from their current provider. 

Moving from different parts of the O2 network

We won’t need a PAC code if your customer is switching within the O2 network. They’ll just need to fill in the keep my number form online. If your customer wants to know more about how the process works, you can direct them to our how to keep your mobile number help page.

One of the top O2 perks for your customers who need a bit of help now and then. Our Gurus are on standby to help with anything device-related. A handy, good-to-know O2 benefit for you if your customers are asking for advice on how to set their mobile phone up properly or how to set up their new O2 sim. 

The Gurus are pretty tech-savvy and can help with any questions relating to smartphones and smartwatches, from the all-new iPhones, to the Motorola sports watches. 

The best thing? Their advice is completely free, no questions asked.
