Starting a sim card selling business: The best ways to sell our sim cards

Whether you’re a shopkeeper, student, or stay-at-home mum, there are plenty of opportunities to be a Star Trader and sell sim cards. Here are a few suggestions to help you on your way.

You’ve signed up for Star Trader. You’ve made your first order. Now, you’ve got to hand out your sims. There are lots of ways to sell sim cards. Here are our top tips for trading.

After all, more activations = more cash. Win win.

So, how do you sell sim cards to customers?

How to start a sim card business

Setting up shop

If you own or work in a shop, you’ve got a great head start to becoming a top trader. High footfall means more potential customers to target.

Showcase your sims in a point-of-sale display near your till to attract attention and increase sales.

Pair with your products

A bit niche, but if you sell a unique product that requires a sim card – such as a GPS tracking device – why not offer your customers a bundle that includes a sim to complement it?

You know your product best, so work with your customers to find the best sim to suit all needs.

Hit the market

E-commerce is big business. Selling sim cards via your own online shop, or on a marketplace like eBay is a great way to reach potential customers.

Savvy student

If you’re at university, try selling sim cards to your fellow students. You’ll meet a lot of different people with different needs, so it’s a great chance to sell a wide range of sims. For example, offer the Classic Pay As You Go sim to your friends on a budget, so they can top up whenever they want.

We have also put together a great guide on other ways students can earn some extra cash besides selling sims here.

Selling Sim Cards on eBay

eBay is a great, free platform on which you can sell sims. It’s super straightforward to setup an account, too, meaning you can start selling your sim cards pretty much straight away.

eBay have a great guide on selling on their platform here.
